Almost in the 3rd Trimester

Wow...I can't believe how fast time has flown with this pregnancy.  I can't believe we are already 27 weeks and I only have 13 more to go till my due date. (Technically I hit 27 weeks last Friday...so I'll be 28 weeks tomorrow and officially in the 3rd trimester.

Baby girl has been doing good.  I don't know that I've officially announced her name here on my blog, so let me do that now.  We have decided to name her Audrey Christine Bentley.  If you know me, you know I am really into the meaning of my children's names...as I want to pass on a heritage to them.  Nathan is the one who came up with the name and as we talked about all the others and narrowed it down, this one finally became the front-runner.  To us it is a name that has a ring of classic beauty, especially when you think of someone like Audrey Hepburn.  The biggest reason I love the name is  because of what it means:

Audrey means "Noble Strength" or "Strong"
Christine means "Follower of Christ"

So to me when you put the two together it means "Strong follower of Christ" or "Noble and Strong follower of Christ".  I love that!

Judah has already been living up to his name...which I mentioned in my previous blog post, and I am believing and praying that Audrey will as well!

Here are some pics of me from this last weekend...

2 Years Old!

I can not believe that 2 years have already passed since Judah entered our lives.  What a precious blessing this boy is.  In the words of his great-grandma Mabel..."He is ALL boy!"

He loves all things having to do with sports or the outside.  He can throw and kick a ball with accuracy.  He can pedal, brake, back-pedal and steer his tricycle like a pro.  He will even ride his bike completely on his own as we go for long walks in our neighborhood.  He has great balance and can walk step over step on curbing or a balance beam.  He loves to jump, play on playgrounds that are built for 5 year olds, swim, play in sand, and run.  He is a tough little boy...when he gets hurt he may or may not cry, but if he does it is usually brief.  He has no fear!

He is laid back, loves to laugh, loves to make others laugh, makes funny faces, says "Hi" to everyone he passes by in the grocery store, and has a sweet and sensitive spirit. He is methodical and serious as he studies how something works.  He loves his bedtime stories and bedtime kisses.

He loves his daddy more than anyone in the world right now.  He loves to wrestle, be thrown in the air, walk on the ceiling, play games with dad, play with blocks (or at least knock them down), and ride his tricycle (did I mention that one already?).  :-)

He is organized and methodical, likes to clean up and put things back where they belong.  He will line things up and let us know when something is not where it should be.  He tells us if we are not doing something the right way and if something is out of place. He is so very much like his daddy was at this age (or so his parents tell us!)

Every day Judah Nathanael lives up to his name, because every day I "praise the Lord for this gift of God"!

We had a fun birthday party with some family and friends.  Our house is a little chaotic at the moment, because we are in the middle of packing up to move (I'll share about this in a future post), so we opted to hold his party at Chuck E Cheese.  It was a little crazy, but he had a grand time.  Since pizza is his favorite food at the moment, we felt this was perfectly appropriate.  Here are some pictures from that fun night:

The joy on his face in this picture shows how happy he was with everything he received.  He got some wonderful toys and clothes and was so excited.  Needless to say, this little boy dropped right off to sleep that night!  Thank you to everyone who could join us in celebrating this one-of-a-kind, pretty awesome little boy!

Great Aunt Janet

My Aunt Janet came up to visit a couple weeks ago, and Judah had so much fun with her.  She is truly a "Great" Auntie!  We love you Aunt Janet!
