Words and Signs

The other day I figured out how to set my video camera up over my shoulder while Judah and I were in the car, so it could record, without me even looking at it.  Here are just a few of the words in my son's growing vocabulary...

All Aboard!

I'm pretty sure that this toy train was never meant to be played with this way, but it sure is funny and Judah sure does love it!

Halloween 2010

We didn't have many plans for this night, since our church Fall Festival was canceled this year, and Judah is too young to really enjoy Trick or Treating.  Well, we didn't have plans that is until we were invited to our friends the Stocktons for a mini Fall Fest in their backyard.  It was so much fun, and there were kids running around everywhere. Judah had a ball playing with the kids and playing with all the games and activities.

Judah was a pirate this year (thanks to a borrowed costume from our friend, Jeanne!)...and a cute little pirate if I do say so myself!  I especially love the beard, although he wasn't too excited when we were putting it on him!

And of course...no party would be complete without sliding down the slide at least 10 or 15 times!  This slide was a little ambitious for him...he would go so fast that he'd turn over to his belly.  Being the fabulous mother that I am, I filmed him and laughed instead of catching him at the bottom!

Our fearless boy loved it though!  There's not much that can get this kid down!  :-)

Let's Catch Up!

Since I've been so bad at keeping up for the last couple of months, lets do some catch up.  Actually...the main reason I haven't blogged, is that I haven't taken the time to take the pictures off my camera for the last couple of months.  I finally did that today, and I realized as I looked at the pics, that a lot has happened.  So, we will tell the story of these last couple of months with some pictures!

So, Judah had a bit of a tough time in the last part of August and beginning of September.  He had gone 4 months without getting sick, and then got hit with one thing after another.  First he got a bad cold, which ran it's course in about 10 days.  On day 7 of that 10 days, he started running a really high fever, which he ran for 3 days.  When we got him to the doctor, we discovered that his cold had developed into a bad ear infection.  The doctor put him on antibiotics, and he started to get better as the days went by.  Then, on day 9 of the antibiotic, he developed a horrible allergic reaction to the Amoxicillin.  For 5 days he had horrible hives all over his body.  He would wake up each morning with his eyes almost swollen shut and his hands or feet so swollen he couldn't use them.  Here are some pics that show the hives...

Then...he finally got over the allergic reaction and 2 weeks later, he came down with a horrible stomach flu.  That lasted a good week...till finally got over every symptom.  Since then he has been healthy and well.  I pray he will remain so!  Here are some pictures of when he had the stomach flu.  My little boy who never sits still for even a minute spent hours just laying on the couch watching videos, because he felt so horrible!  :-(

Once he got better, we got back to life as usual.  Life as usual includes but is not limited to...

Playing with Daddy

Showing us his Belly Button

Reading the morning paper (Toys R Us Guide) with Breakfast!

Playing with his good friend Caleb

Playing at the mall...especially on the slides!

Showing his cousin Micah the ropes!

It looks like Judah is telling Micah what to do in this picture!

Our silly boy, and...

Our Conquering Hero!  (I love this picture!)

And last but not least, one of our favorite things to do right now is have daddy push us around on our lion. (More like give him the ride of his life!!)  Most of the time he hangs on and just laughs hysterically...other times he gets flung off the lion and still laughs just as hard!

(Our nephew Micah was the one crying in the background. He wasn't a big fan of all the action!)  :-)
