A pretty perfect day

Today is Saturday and we had daddy here all day.  It has turned out to be a pretty perfect day.  We all slept in till a little after 8am.  Then we had an awesome breakfast of eggs and french toast.  We decided to take advantage of one of the few cool days we might have left here in Phoenix, and went for a long bike ride. (We have an awesome bike trailer that Judah loves to ride in.)  We stopped twice at a park so Judah could get out an play.

When we got home, it was actually getting quite warm, so Nathan suggested we put up a kid pool in the backyard and have fun in the water.  We had a great time...playing in the pool, eating lunch under umbrellas and just hanging out till Judah's nap time.  We had such a fun time!

First PROFESSIONAL Haircut

So, we let Judah's hair go WAY too long in between cuts.  Nathan talked to the gal who cuts his hair, our amazing friend Tami Jo Doine.  She said he could bring Judah in the next time he scheduled a haircut and she would cut it.  (We realized after this that we should have actually made an appointment for him, because it took about a half hour. Thankfully, she had an appointment cancel, so it all worked out.)

Anyway...all of Judah's haircuts so far have been done by either Nathan or I, and usually it's me.  Pretty much we just used Nathan's hair trimmer, and just tried to keep it even.  We noticed as it would grow out, that it was DEFINITELY not even!  You can see how badly it grew out in the before pictures. Without further ado, here are the before, during and after pictures:

Isn't he so cute!  He did such a great job, never cried, never fussed.  He just got a little antsy after sitting there for about 20 minutes.  So, we had to get creative in the end so he would hold still for Tami.  That is why we have a picture with him happily playing with and chewing on a comb.
