So Much To Be Thankful For!

THANKSGIVING 2009

We love having our families over for Turkey and all the "fixins"...

Then we created a Mii for everyone on the Wii...

Even Judah got his own Mii...

Then the games began...

We topped off the the day with pies and "Rock Band" at the Garrisons...

Even Judah got in on the game with his awesome dancing!

As I said, I have so much to be thankful for...

Here is a little video showcasing Judah dancing to his dad and uncle playing Rock Band...

Look at What I can Do!

A couple of days ago, I was surprised to see my little boy doing two new things.  I knew it was coming soon, but I didn't realize that one day it would just happen.  He is able to sit up on his own now.  He still falls over now and then, especially if his attention is diverted to something on the ground or to the side of him, but when he's focused on playing with a toy in front of him, he will stay sitting for a long time.

He also is "somewhat" able to stand on his own while holding onto the couch or the table.  Granted...he doesn't stand for long before falling over, but it still amazes me.  Think about it...just a couple of months ago, we were amazed when he held up his head on his own.  Now he's sitting up and standing on his own!  My how the time flies!

Mmmm...Mikey Likes It!

About a week after Judah turned 6 months old, we began the journey of introducing solid food.  He has done really well with it and seems to enjoy it.  We aren't in any hurry with it and are starting off slow.  So far, we've done Rice Cereal and Oatmeal Cereal.  This weekend we will try some Avocado.  We'll see how he likes that.  I have been really surprised at how quickly he has learned to eat the food, though it is fun, how messy he gets, especially when he tries to grab the spoon and feed himself (really he just wants to chew on the spoon, but we can pretend he's advanced enough to feed himself!)  He is actually getting the hang of it now and opens up real big in anticipation of each bite.  Here are some pictures from those first couple of weeks...

Papa J

Judah sure loves his Papa J (Natha's Dad)...

And he sure is fascinated by his beard...

I sure do love these Bentley Boys!...

"One Judah-dog Please"

As promised...here are pictures of Judah in his first Halloween costume.  We went to the Fall Festival at our church and had so much fun.  Judah is definitely going to be a tall, thin boy.  We got the Hot Dog costume a couple weeks earlier, and by the time Halloween came around, he was already WAY too long for it.  His legs were all bent up in there.  So, we finally took his head out of the costume so he could stretch out.  We had a lot of fun, but I look forward to next year, when he'll be able to run around and check things out on his own!  Seriously, have you ever seen a cuter Hot Dog!

October...

So, I have been very remiss in posting anything on my blog this last month.  I am so sorry about that.  I love to follow certain blogs and am always sad when they aren't updated with new stories, thoughts, or pictures. I am sorry if this has frustrated you in any similar fashion.

This month has been filled with so much, there is no way to describe it all without writing a book.  I will write about this month in quick little phrases and then post lots of pictures of our sweet boy.  So, this month Nathan got Swine Flu; I got Pneumonia; Judah stayed healthy and well (thanks to my Mom coming over everyday we were sick to watch him); we worked; we played; we had Junior High Events (a Slip N' Slide Party and a Movie Night); and we dressed Judah up for his very first Halloween.  (I will post pictures of this in my next blog.)  We are all now healthy and well and enjoying our happy, bouncing 6 month old!  YES...you heard that right...Judah turned 6 months old this last Monday.  Seriously, where has the time gone!  I am now officially one of those parents who say, "I can't believe how fast he is growing up!"  (tear, sniff)

Take a look at pictures of this cute little boy from this last month...

My Dad bought this cute shirt from some place he has access as a Retired Fireman.

Love these wrist rattles...he can't drop or throw them!!

I love this boy so much!!!

Since it started getting cooler at night, we started dressing Judah in his "Footie Pajamas".  He has SERIOUSLY stepped up the level of cuteness in these!  Don't you agree?!

Judah decided to eat his dinner at the table like a big boy!
